- All Tote–A–Lube
tanks are constructed from virgin polyethylene UL
rated food grade resins and are designed for use with
polyethylene tolerant fluids. Valves, fittings, hose
and sealers also must be compatible with the fluids
which are to be used within the vessel. Use of the
tank with incompatible fluids may cause tank failure
and voids all manufacturer’s warranty.
- Tanks are cleaned at
the factory, however should be checked for
contaminants prior to filling.
- Manufacture is not
responsible for loss of fluids or fluid clean-up.
- Support: Place on
factory designed stand (or equivalent) or flat
surface. Know the weight capacity of your support
system prior to filling to prevent tank from tipping
or stand from collapsing. Tote–A–Lube stands have
been Certified to withstand of 10,000 pounds of
uniform vertical load. We recommend no loads over
5,000 lbs.
- Manufacture
recommends the sealing of all threads with RECTOR
SEAL No. 5® prior to use. The reducer bushing at the
bottom of the tank has been sealed at the factory.
- Protect tank from
impact especially in cold weather. Always keep sharp
objects away from tank to prevent puncturing tank.
- Never expose tank to
open flame or high heat and never store fluids with a
Flash Point lower than 200ºF in Tote–A–Lube tanks.
- When full, tanks
will experience minor side wall bowing. This is a
typical condition of the tanks and does not indicate
the tank will experience failure or is defective.
- Tote–A–Lube tanks
have been tested by a third party testing laboratory
for dynamic compression, internal pressure and stack
test evaluations. There was no failure of the tanks
at 20,000 pounds of pressure.
